SlingBack Universal Cord and Wire Retractor
Universal Wire Retractor
The concept of wire retractors is nothing new. The most traditional usage for wire retractors hase been for phone lines. Rather than have a mess of cords lying around to trip over, or a hazardous tangled mess of wires, wire retractors encase the wires making them more manageable and less space consuming. Until now each wire retractor has had a specific purpose, i.e. phone lines, extension chords, lamp cords, etc. Instead of having to base which wire retractor to buy off of the cord it contains, you can now buy one wire retractor capable of housing any wire you feel the need to manage. Now you can clean up the mess of computer cords behind your desk, or even lessen the possibility of your iPod and cell phone cords tangling while the recharge. SlingBack offers you "a different angle on the tangle".
How it Works
The SlingBack universal wire retractor might sound bit cumbersome in name, but it is difficult to find a another product as simple to operate as teh SlingBack. The top and bottom halves of the shell are held together by magnets. To insert a cord, simply pull the outer shell casing apart and place your chosen cord into the slot in the middle of the "wheel". Once the cord is place in the wheel, place the shell back together. Now that they product is in one piece again, simple give one end of the cord a tug and the cord will wind up neatly around the wheel mechanism ready to use whenever you need it. To insure that the SlingBack does not slide around when pulling one end of the cord, the bottom of the product is outfitted with rubber pads giving it traction even on the most slippery of surfaces.
Stackability
The SlingBack goes far beyond just saving cord space. The SlingBack was made to be stackable to insure that you can save space on your desk top as well. The wire retractor is outfitted with a negative flower design on top and a positive flower design on the bottom. When stacked, these flower designs lock into place with each other so that you don't have to worry about your SlingBack tower toppling over.
